YieldFi

About

YieldFi is an issuance, distribution, and intelligence layer for tokenized yield products that offers curated, strategy-backed vaults. It enables capital allocators (family offices, DAOs, treasuries) to access institutional-grade yield opportunities through programmable vault tokens that settle 24/7, can be used as collateral in DeFi, and provide real-time transparency via live analytics. The platform also serves curators/asset managers who can deploy capital across DeFi and centralized exchanges, and distribution partners who can embed yield products via SDK.

Where Does Yield Come From?

YieldFi vaults earn yield using various decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies run by outside risk managers (curators). The main vault, yPRISM (managed by ClearStar), invests funds into lending and fixed-yield strategies that aim to be market-neutral, using well-established protocols and keeping a cash reserve for withdrawals. Its assets are mostly in OpenEden (87.81%), with some in USDO (11.90%) and stablecoins like USDC and USDT. The yHLP vault simply copies the Hyperliquid HLP vault to earn returns from market-making. Older V2 vaults (like yUSD, vyUSD, yETH) provide additional yield strategies.

Yield builds up automatically by increasing the vault token's price. Updates to the net asset value (NAV) are gradually released over a set time (an epoch) to prevent quick trading advantages. Any management fees are deducted before NAV updates. Withdrawals follow service-level agreement queues; for example, yPRISM has a 7-day processing time after a request. Funds are held in secure multi-party computation wallets (Fordefi) and monitored around the clock by Hypernative.

YieldFi provides the platform for creating and distributing vaults, but does not run the strategies. Each vault's yield comes from its risk manager's investments in lending, fixed-yield, market-making, or other basic DeFi activities.
