stUSDT
About
stUSDT is a rebase RWA (Real-World Assets) protocol that lets users stake USD stablecoins (USDT, TUSD) and receive stUSDT receipt tokens. The pooled capital is invested in high-grade short-term government bonds and also deployed on-chain (e.g. Aave) under a combined RWA+Onchain income model. stUSDT holders automatically earn rewards through a daily rebase mechanism that increases their token balance proportionally.
Where Does Yield Come From?
How stUSDT earns yield
Users deposit USDT (or TUSD) into the stUSDT-RWA Contract on TRON or Ethereum. In return they receive stUSDT tokens at a 1:1 rate. The pooled funds are then split between two income sources:
- Real-World Assets (RWA) — Asset Managers buy short-term, high-grade government bonds, following a strategy designed by RWA Arrangers and overseen by the RWA DAO Advisory Council.
- On-chain — Some of the funds are actively deployed on Aave (as part of the Combined RWA+Onchain Income Model announced in November 2024).
Earnings from both sources flow back into the stUSDT-RWA Contract. From there they are distributed to holders through a daily rebase — each holder's stUSDT token balance increases proportionally, so you automatically earn rewards just by holding.
Users can unstake stUSDT for the original stablecoin at any time, still at a 1:1 ratio.
The official documentation does not state a specific protocol fee percentage. It says that RWA DAO oversees performance and publishes investment results on-chain periodically, and that Chainlink/WinkLink oracles monitor the price stability of USDT.
Audits
| Audit / Date | Findings | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
ChainSecurity11-12-2023 - 01-02-2024 |
| The audit found the stUSDT codebase provides a good level of security with no critical or high-severity issues, though the protocol remains fully custodial and requires complete trust in administrators for asset safety and upgrade integrity. |
